Famed television producer Dick Clark died from heart attack Wednesday morning, TMZ reports.

He was 82.

Clark suffered a stroke in 2004 which forced him to significantly curtail his hosting of “New Years’ Rockin’ Eve,” a show he created in 1972.

I remember in the early 80′s watching his show “Americas Top 10″ on tv and taking my little tape recorder next to the tv speaker and recording my favorite songs. This was during Men At Works, “Who Can It Be Now?” Joan Jett “I Love Rock N Roll” and McCartney and Stevie Wonder “Ebony and Ivory.” Who never did that??

Its sad that Dick died today. Man, he was there from day one. The news today was showing footage of him introducing Bill Haley and the Comets… That’s amazing…. He did a lot for RnR…

Interesting that you mentioned Men At Work Cobo76. The flautist (sp?) was found dead today in Melbourne… Rip for him, too.
