Gatomike26 – I’m not getting old … I’m already old! But your comments actually made my point. I’m much older than you, but like you and a lot of rock fans, I stopped getting into new bands in the ’90s. Being older means I was spoiled at a young age when it came to great groups. First concert I ever went to was Cream.

Cream?? Holy fuck you are old!! I’m just kidding. I have been going to fewer shows too but as far as new music goes I can get into some of it but it’s usually the “Super Groups” with older rockers in them, QOTSA, Adrenaline Mob, Winery Dogs, Kill Devil Hill etc. As far as new bands with musicians in their early 20′s I can’t think of any that I listen to off the top of my head. Hell my next concert is actually Prince at Mohegan Sun. People thought VH was expensive. These tix are $220 each. Worth it IMO though. I’ve seen Prince twice before and he puts on a hell of a show.

I’ve seen a lot of shows through the years but that was still one of the best. It was like 3 great musicians having a battle of the bands between themselves. One thing about being old is you got to witness the greats live in concert. My second concert as a teen was Hendrix. Also lucky enough to see Zeppelin 5 times.
