Fellas, hug your loved ones just a little tighter than usual today. You never know when it may be for the very last time.

Rest in peace, brother.

Its a shame but not unexpected. You choose that path it will catch up with you sooner or later.

STP were a fucking great band & I liked VR too.

Absolute waste….

RIP Scott

EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

Their first tv appearance on David Letterman was imo one of the best sounds at that time , great vocals and heavy guitar sound

Very sad… he seemed to be getting his shit together lately. I was really pulling for that STP reunion.

Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings.

One of the more predictable things to happen lately, unfortunately heavy drug use always seems to catch up to people like him and Staley. Off the charts vocal talent though, early STP is so underrated its ridiculous. If we still did things like trees/vines around here it would be cool to share some boots. RIP Scott, this is a bummer.

There’s no reason why we can’t do trees/vines.

STP put on one of the best live shows.

RIP

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

That was some of the worst news I had read all year. In an interview he did a couple weeks ago he seemed well and even contemplated a return to STP in a year or 2 once the bad feelings wore down. He was excited about his solo band and touring and writing. Like a lot of you I wasn’t surprised, kinda like when Layne died, but still sort of shocked and saddened. He was a great singer, songwriter and front man. He definitely had his own style about him that was so much more than acting like Bowie. I’m glad I got to see these guys about a dozen times throughout their career. They always put on a great show. RIP Scott
