Thanks for posting this. I wonder how it will be different from the mag they just put out, or is this just an alternate cover.

Yeah, no description (that I could find) yet. So we’ll just have to wait and see I suppose. It’s not like it’s coming out next week. :)

Description:
Featuring the brilliant soloing and rhythm playing of ultimate guitar hero Eddie Van Halen and the flamboyant lead vocals of David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar, Van Halen have sold more than 60 million albums in the U.S. alone racking up classic hits such as “Hot for Teacher,” “Runnin’ with the Devil” and “Jump,” and their latest single, “Tattoo.” Through the years, “Guitar World” magazine has been there to provide first-hand reports on Van Halen’s extraordinary career, from their early days in the Seventies playing the “Sunset Strip” to their smash 2012 comeback album, “A Different Kind of Truth”. Now, for the first time, “Guitar World” presents the entire story in an incredible collector’s edition packed with rare photos and colourful interviews with band members and group insiders.

Sounds like the same mag as before with the most recent material from GW tacked on.

Got the book. The title is slightly different, and the cover image isn’t the same either.

Looks to have much of the same content as was presented here: http://store.guitarworld.com/products/guitar-world-presents-40-years-of-van-halen

The title is “Van Halen: 40 Years of The Great American Rock Band” and the cover image is of the CVH lineup in black and white. Ed and Al are wearing striped shirts, Alex has sunglasses on, and Dave is wearing a web-like outfit. They are in the corner of a tiled room. I can’t seem to quickly locate the promo shot online at the moment.
