It’s 1995 and I’m invited, via a phone call from Eddie, to “hang out” with the band. After an amazing time in L.A., which included Ed saying, “congratulations you’re in the band”, I’m leaving and he hands me a tape of an instrumental of the band and says, “turn this into a song”. Well, I did write that song, but never shared it with anyone out of respect for the band. But, 20 long years later, I decided that with the challenging times the world is having “It’s the Right Time” to share that uplifting song. Fans have wondered what I would sound like with Van Halen, now you will know. I hope you dig it. ROCK!

It might sound better with Sam singing or as an instrumental for a movie soundtrack.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I’m with Frank on this one. In all honesty though, I don’t like it because it sounds like a continuation of the Sammy era, with the cringe worthy lyrics and complete lack of balls. He sounds like Sammy, Gary, and the guy from Survivor all rolled into one. Thankfully, we didn’t have to hear a whole album of this stuff. Then again, some may have liked it more than VH III and would now be pining for a reunion with Mitch, or a combo concert with Dave, Sam, and Mitch. Wouldn’t that be something to look forward to….
