No way this happens… sam is in his mid 60′s and not getting in any better shape.. he’s done. Ed is done with him. After the hatchet job he performed with his bullshit book he deserves anything bad coming his way.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sammy back. Is anything he wrote in the book untrue? Who was the problem during the 2004 tour? Not Sammy. Sammy may be older but please his voice is far superior to Daves right now. If anyone thinks Eddiie will EVER let Dave decide Van Halens fate or future you don’t know Eddie at all. That will NEVER happen. Dave has always been about himself and always will be. And his voice is the weak link in that band. Eddie puts up with him and thats it, they will never be close. Eddie is into it again cuz of Wolfie. I could see Dave going bye bye, Wolfie goes on his own and whoever he is with becomes the warmup for Van Halen with Michael and Sammy back. If Dave was smart he would dump his ego and latch on to the coat tails of that tour if it happens. Eddie will do anything to help his son. Who by the way deserves dads help he is a good musician and seems like a young man who really has his head on straight. If Eddie and his ex did one thing right it was raising Wolfie! Outstanding young man.

Download organiser Andy Copping has said that he would love to secure a reunited Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses as future headliners.

Speaking to NME at the festival, which took place from Friday (June 14) to Sunday (16), the organiser replied to a question about whether he was eying David Lee Roth and co as future headliners.

He said: “I’d love to get them (Van Halen), but who knows when? Maybe one year we can get them to come over and it’ll happen, I live in hope. You can’t rule any bands at that level out: Led Zeppelin, the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses, I’d love to get them, hopefully it’ll happen one day.”
