KISSMAD (522)	January 1, 2019 – SITE NEWS! Hello everyone, First of all, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I also wanted to inform of a decision I have made, that has actually been brewing for a while, and a couple events have pushed me to make a final decision. I have made the choice to close the site. The biggest reason is I simply do not have the time to police it like I want to, and the risks that come even when it’s policed are bad enough. I just have other priorities and I can’t look after it like I once did. When I took it over for a friend in 2003, it really started as a place for Van Halen live torrents, and it took off far away from that, which is fine, but for me, I wanted it to be a service to Van Halen fans. So now 16 years later, it’s just time for me to move on from it. I want to thank everyone who contributed to it, all the members who shared music, all the moderators, and an extra-special thank you to the generosity of Ron Higgins who personally helped keep the server alive when we didn’t have the financial resources for an upgrade about four years ago. gatomike26 (458)	When I went to log in and saw the announcement it was a pretty sad way to start off the new year.I had been a member since probably 2007.Even though it was not as active as it use to be I still found some cool shows even last year and checked it a few times a week.The site brought me many great bootlegs and it gave me the motivation to learn how to make torrents and share in the past and I also met many great people who I traded with over the years with on there.I’m grateful to all the people who were involved the administrators,moderators and founders I know some of you are on this site.Thanks. gatomike26Quote
