What a hiprocracy…(yes no spell check). KISS gets inducted to Hall of Fame as original 4 members, hall is not considering the other members because they ‘just played the original characters created”.
VH inducted with Sammy – non-original member.

If a member on an album, you should be inducted with the group.

Eddie Trunk doing live updates from the event on Twitter..
@EddieTrunk: Sucks @KISSOnline are not playing. They could have blown this place up! In a good way of course…

@EddieTrunk: Nobody in the @KISSOnline tables are really near each other. Everyone spread out. I’m with Ace 1st row left, Peter far right same row

@EddieTrunk: Hearing final jam song will be Highway To Hell. Ace will take a solo. Not sure anyone else from Kiss will join. Have only seen Ace & Peter

@EddieTrunk: Ace leaned in and said he wishes Bill Aucoin was here to see this. There is a photo of him on our table in memory. RIP Bill.

@EddieTrunk: Standing next to Dave Grohl and just watched a fan tell him to move because he was blocking his view. Gotta love NYC!

Just watched the four members give their speeches on you tube. I really enjoyed what Paul Stanley had to say and how he said it.

I understand your argument. I’m no fan of the Rock N Roll Hall Of Shame – complete joke … BUT … I think only the four original members of Kiss should be inducted. I understand you can argue members had contributions since the original members left but were those contributions that significant? They may have been technically better players, but did they make a significant contribution? When the average person on the street thinks of Kiss, they probably think of the four classic members. The four that made the band iconic. I’m not just arguing for the original members, I know people would argue that with Van Halen and Sammy Hagar (but I think it could be argued Sammy had a significant contribution); for that matter Neil Peart was not an original member of Rush. In my opinion, the four classic members of Kiss made the legacy and then the members who followed maintained the legacy (but did not create it). Just my opinion.

My issue with hagar was his time with the band didn’t meet the 25-year first album release qualification.. It really waters down what Van Halen accomplished from 78-84. If you’re going to let hagar in without meeting the requirements, might as well let gary in as well. Same rules should apply to KISS or any other band.

Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings.

I really would like to ask the people who vote why a group that sold over one hundred million records in a couple of years aren’t in while one hit wonders get in? Deep Purple probably out sold 90% of the bands and artists who have been elected. I would be willing to bet Rainbow out sold most of the artists who are in. Not many songs as popular through the years as Smoke On The Water. Pretty sad.

Gary? That statement proves you are lost and just a Sammy hater! Hagars time was WAY MORE successful than the Cherone flop.
