Mark(175) | I may be in the minority, but I love this album…to me, it’s one of their best. I’m listening to it as we speak, and it’s a great album. Of course, back in 1981 when it came out, I hated it. I was expecting a movie to come out. Watching them on “Friday’s” back then perform The Oath, World Without Heroe’s and I was great back then. It has become one of my favorite KISS albums…along with Creatures of the Night.

frankm(4888) | Really? I remember when the album came out not really listening to it. I talked with a Kiss freak and he said it was probably just to theatrical for most people. He said it was technically probably some of their best playing. I don’t know about that. I decided to give it another listen, after reading your comments. It really ain’t doin’ much for me but maybe I’ll listen to it again and just give it a chance.

Mark(175) | It was just “different”…we had Unmasked and Dynasty just prior to this and it just caught us by surprise. After The Oath, which started the album back then, it took a very different turn. I remember being in my room and calling my friend up and telling him it’s a soundtrack to a movie, and that’s why it sounds like this.
