No.
The footage is all standard 4:3 as it was originally broadcast with its integrity kept intact. The menus and play ratio (with pillar boxing) are 16:9.

most wide screen tv’s will add the pillar boxes automatically for 4×3 content (unless you have it set to stretch it)
your problem now will be ppl that have older tv’s will probably letterbox the picture automatically

That sucks. What’s funny is I don’t even own a TV – just a 27″ iMac. Widescreen seems to be the wave of the present/future, in addition to blu-ray and others types of older storage media becoming obsolete. I still did these “old school” because I don’t what the internet/website tards and trolls screwing me like they screwed Cato with his Napalm release. I could’ve probably uploaded these somewhere/somehow but chose not to.
Nonetheless, here’s a preview of my 2nd title’s main and chapter menus. Excuse the cheesy music. So what do you think, Ddude?

Any suggestions on tunes to use? …Was thinking of Doughnut City or Me Wise Magic.

Or maybe 79th & Sunset.

nice! I vote for “donut city” for the audio. menu looks great.
i love the shirts from each year being used.

this looks like a complete collection of all things VH 78-85. or close to it.
I have a 1980 WACF compilation that I was gonna share too.

btw, what was the problem Cato had? And also… any tips where I can get the Napalm DVD now?? I never got before! thx

If you search the Internet, you’ll find Cato’s DVD being sold outright online. They don’t even bother to change the title.

“VH 78-85″: that’s pretty much what it is, my personal and favorite best of everything from that time span fully restored as much as possible.

I guess I’m gonna be in the boat with Frank M on this one. There is nothing new here….it’s just another compilation.

Plus, there are upgraded versions of these vids out there (BETTER than NAPALM, not sure if it has been released, except maybe on Early Days DVD’s?):

’78 Warner Vids:
Eruption
YouReallyGotMe
Runnin’WithTheDevil
Jamie’sCryin’

’79 vids:

DanceTheNightAway
You’reNoGood
BottomsUp!

’81 vids:
SoThisIsLove?
Unchained

Only if it’s Blu-ray AND has lossless audio.
