EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

From vhnd.

This week we feature two behind-the-scenes photos taken this week. Photographer Kevin Scanlon shoots Eddie Van Halen on the beach, and poses at Eddie’s pad. His three day photoshoot with the “King of Ten Fingers and Six Strings” is for Guitar Aficionado magazine. Their upcoming article (due to hit shelves in late 2013) will feature Eddie Van Halen’s personal vintage guitar collection. Sounds like it will be a very interesting and unique feature!

I hope they feature some of Edward’s old guitars like the Charvel Star and some of the old Kramers (1984, 5150) and even the Steinbergers he played in 5150 and OU812. Of course we will get doses of Franky and all the wolfgangs but it would be nice to see them dig back into some of the more rare ones like the 80s Strats, EBMMs and of course some of his older acoustics etc.

look forward to this one,

Rob

Yes Rob.
Kramers ,Stienberg and others would be great to see.
Depends what Ed classes as “vintage”.

That’s cool. I’m at work so using mobile. Ed has not looked this good in a long time. Great to see the Ed of old.
