EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

Decatone: Spiral cords or as we called them in the UK curly leads  were still quite popular in the mid 70′s but from what I remember disappeared quickly by the late 70′s. I remember many a time you’d walk too far from your amp and either the guitar or the amp end would fly out and either clack your amp or guitar  The other thing they’d do was lock themselves round symbol stands and the like… how the hell they were ever invented I’ll never know.

I used to have one of these. They reminded me of a telephone cord.

Walk too far away & it’s bungee cord time.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Thanks a million. I didn’t even know about Tumblr until first seeing your blog last summer.

Ha, Ha. Oh, Heavens No. That is not true. I just copy and repost what I happen to run across.

Nothing beats the VHR blog when it comes to rare VH pics. I always click the photo credit link, as quite often there are other pics to check out as well. Always a treat to see something you’ve never seen before.

Those pics the VHND posted last week from the record store signing in Spokane from ’79 were also a pleasant surprise to see.
Another one of my favorites is the ” Different Kind Of Timeline ” FB page. He has done such an excellent job there. It is very well organized and thorough in chronological order. As is Taylor Player’s Flicker gallery.

I found another pretty good one on FB, simply titled ” Van Halen Photo’s ”

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=243946428966903&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fm&refid=9&_rdr#_=_

FAN HALEN’s FB page has some pretty cool rare shots as well.

They just put up an extremely rare one of EVH playing the Gibson SG Doubleneck from Jackson Mississipi in 1982.
