I wonder how many different audio and video sources from each of these shows will surface after a few days? Could probably do a mult-cam for just about every night.

Me too !

Seriously, I’m sure there will be many more shows out there in the coming weeks.

Some sort of tree or vine usually gets set up, so be patient.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

frankm: Would be even better if you could get him to send you the uncompressed files, that may be pushing it.

I hear what you’re sayin; …. but he shot it on mini-DV tape (I had to re-read that a couple of times – it’s been so long since I saw that) and it’s native 4:3 footage. So realistically, he’d have to send me the tape. I don’t think it’s worth it. The youtube clips looks good. If he did a 2-pass VBR encoding – even at a low-bitrate, it should be OK.

Now available with arcme262′s audio:

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=394668

Contrast Clause: This differs from the original DVD in this torrent:

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=394547

In that the original video-cam audio is now replaced with a much nicer sounding audio recording (see notes below).

7. Somebody Get Me A Doctor
8. China Town
9. Mean Street
10. Pretty Woman
11. Al’s drum solo
12. Unchained
13. The Trouble With Never
14. Dance The Night Away
15. I’ll Wait
16. Hot For Teacher
17. Women In Love
18. Outta Love
19. Beautiful Girls
20. Ice Cream Man
21. Panama
22. Ed’s guitar solo
23. Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love
24. Jump

arcme262′s notes: First show of the new tour. One hell of a show with a nice mix of new songs, the usuals and a few surprises. I recorded from Ed’s side of the stage. Section 104 row EE. It’s the last row of the section, but that didn’t stop people from congregating in the walkway behind me. It’s a solid recording overall with only a little crowd noise at a few spots. TAPERS BEWARE: I was expecting them to come on at 9:00, and they hit the stage a few minutes early with the house lights still on and without warning. I was already rolling, so nothing was missed. Enjoy!

Post Toasted’s notes: There is a small cut after Beautiful Girls and before Ice Cream Man as I had to change batteries and tape. The first few songs are rough as I was keeping on eye on other things and hiding in the bright light moments.

Silver Stallion’s (guitard) notes: Many, many thanks to arcme262 and Post Toasted!! No re-encoding of the original video occurred. The missing snippets at the beginning of the show between Beautiful Girls and Ice Cream Man are now filled in with still shots.

Is a multicam still in the works? Just curious. Thanks for all your hard work.

To the best of my knowledge – not one that includes this footage. This footage is OK, but it’s 4:3 and has it’s crazy moments. I’m sure whatever Fletch and the others collectively come up with will blow this away.

I mainly did this because it’s currently the only full-show available from this show. Basically it’s just something to tide the VHT faithful over until something better comes along.

Thanks for the upgrade. I just watched the original DVD. The band sounded great and it was an awesome show. However, at times I was getting motion sickness the camera moved around that much.

Actually, i didn’t include my nickname in the credits of this DVD. It just reflects arcme262 for the audio and Post Toasted for the video.

Well…I did! You brought the whole thing together…it’s a Silver Stallion Production…even if you’re lurking in the shadows! ;)
