Wonder why it says “this thursday” when it is 2 weeks away.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Gotta say that showing up on Ellen is a bit of a surprise, but at least this serves as the announcement of a tour, along with the name of the tour.

This is great news. Finally they will appear in public together, perform and formally announce the tour.
I hate to say this and not to bring it down but a big part of me feels this will be the last tour and here’s why. In 2007/2008 they regrouped with Dave and at the same time Ed brought aboard Wolf to show him the ropes. The tour IMO was mostly a success and proved Ed and Dave buried the hatchet. Then a hiatus for 4 years only to return with a new album with Dave and another successful tour. I think this was done more to prove they could do it, write a new album with Dave that is, and they did a great job. Then they take another 2 years off and mostly complete silence from all camps until this year putting out what amounts to another greatest hits album and now a tour to promote it. My gut tells me after this tour that is it. Maybe Ed will show up at some of Wolfgang’s concerts in the future but the fact that they couldn’t/wouldn’t do another new album, with Dave tells me they are done. I hope I am wrong.

I was thinking it would be cool to see Dave go old-school and say something really suggestive to Ellen along the lines of how all she needs is a night with a guy like him to make her reconsider her sexual orientation.

and she’ll fire back with “It was a night with a guy like you that made me this way”!

FWIW -

“David Lee Roth is a major disappointment sexually and a “psycho,” say female groupies who’ve been with him. Maybe that’s because David is rumored to now be more interested in California boys than California girls.”

Or he makes the announcement he made 30 years ago, almost to the day.

Don’t really get why they choose Ellen…. seems like the last place this band would perform.

I don’t see many of Ellen’s audience being fans of the band.

It would make more sense for the band to play Jimmy Fallon, or Jimmy Kimmel.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!
