Panamaniac (207)	voodoo: Dave has his nose taped up and they’re restaring the show. LOL! What the fuck!? Did anyone see what happened to cause Dave’s “nose incident”? Interesting to fathom breaking one’s nose with a microphone. My thoughts on the aired JKL performance (Panama, RWTD, and DTNA): The band sounded tight (although I must admit RWTD was played very slooooow to my ears) but, to me, Dave sounded like he was struggling to hit his notes. When he was cupping his hands around his ears/mouth, his tone sounded spot on but his traditional free-form rapping/talking/singing rhythmically sounded slightly off-key and not catching up at the right points to me; maybe almost a bit lazy. Did anyone else get that impression? Hey, I know the dude is in his 60′s now so granting some slack is warranted but it just seems to me if Dave would just sing a little bit more in his register more often, the live performance would excel exponentially. Another quick observation regarding Ed’s current guitar tone: Is anyone with me in hearing virtually no low end? I don’t know; maybe I’ve been listening to too many old school bootlegs but what I’m hearing from him recently is all highs (very sharp, almost scratchy even) and very few mid and low tones. Criticisms aside, I am extremely happy to see the fellas continuing to work together again; and even now on an unprecedentedly public stage for them! I sure hope they schedule a stop here in Vegas at some point. Seems they’d be remissed to neglect Sin City given their history. PanamaniacQuote
