ron: I’ve been wondering. If a show fits a DVD9, why would anyone want to deal with swapping discs in the middle of a show on DVD5′s?

If you can jump on a torrent within minutes of it being added, you have a good chance of being able to seed back what you download.Otherwise, your only bet is to keep uploading for a couple of weeks/months and pick up the stragglers. I’ve got a show I downloaded back in September that is just now closing in on a 1:1 share ratio.

Actually, I grabbed the show just before leaving home, and didn’t have the chance to read the description where the uploader said there will be a DVD9 version. I would have waited for this version otherwise.

For the ratio issue, I also keep my torrents on for several months, and eventually manage to get 1:1 or more. Can be also useful for people who grab shows long after their release.

Anyone else having trouble downloading the DVD9 version from Dropbox?
I’ve tried to download it a few times and it will only download 2.6GB of the zip file.

Try downloading 1 VOB (1 GB) at a time.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I didn’t even realize it uploaded as a zip file. Like Pat said – stick with one VOB at a time and you should be good. And just in case you weren’t aware, you can download more than one VOB at a time.

I downloaded it during my off-peak time and I didn’t want to stay up to download each file. That is why I downloaded the zip option. I didn’t see the option to download the vob files when you clicked on them as I was tired.
It’s working now, thanks.

Yep, I second that. This has been a really great project and it came out really well Randy. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and also loved the bit tagged onto the end where CBG talks us through his recording equipment – you forget just how big those old cameras were!

Since it’s a Silver Stallion I may grab this after all. Randy’s quality is always top notch. I was at the Spokane MOR show and had a great day but was super disappointed in VH’s set. That was the beginning of the end for me with the Sammy era, but time heals all wounds and I wouldn’t mind watching some great 80′s rock and maybe finding out I’ve been wrong all this time… :-D
