mikeyV: Does anyone have or has seen audio (or video) from Denver Mile High Stadium MOR?That was really a great show, especially by Metallica. They played songs from all the other bands on the bill.I took probably 200 pictures of that show and only 8 turned out.I think it was the last show of that tour also….

guitard: I’ve got the tapes to do the 3-cam mix for the June 26, 1988 Giants Stadium show. The person who sent them also sent some separate audio, but it’s not very good. One of the angles has half-way decent audio.Does anyone know if decent audio exists for this show?

I have a 1st gen show that was recorded with a D6 or D3.

It sounds a bit distant & echoey, otherwise OK.

Maybe combine it with the cam audio ?

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Should be a pretty nice show … but you all have to remember, even though I’m working with master tapes … it’s 1988 video recording technology … which is so inferior to 2014 video technology that it might be easy to look at it and say WTF?

I will also be doing a 2-cam of the Scorpions set shot by the same guys. That was recorded during the daylight and it looks two or three times better. The videocams back then just couldn’t handle the bright lights and a lot of the colors got washed out during the night time under the bright lights shot.

But it’s still a 3-cam of Van Halen from the MOR tour. Probably going to be the earliest ever audience 3-cam shot of any band shot in a large venue.

Pat – I think I’m just going to use the audio from one of the video angles. It’s way better than the alternate audio source I have (which sounds like the one you described). Thanks just the same for checking.
