Inspired by this photo from a Facebook group:

I decided to try and locate my VH tour books to see what I have, and what I might still want to collect. I have them in a couple of different places around the house, and wanted to finally put them all in one place.

Question is, what other tour books are there, that aren’t in this picture?

2013 – Japan
1986 – 5150
1998 – III Australia
???

I was able to come up with most of them. Missing OU812 and the 1978 Japan tour book, which I think I’ve got somewhere…. and the Texxas World Festival book, which I’m sure I don’t have.

Looks like there are two different books for 1979 – I think the contents are the same, but the cover of one is flat, and the other is embossed. The embossed one might be from the Japan dates.

Found my OU812 book, along with two Donington 1984 books. Now just missing the 1978 Japan and that Texxas Jam book. (any others?)

Will have to look over duplicates (Donington and FW and USA III) and see what’s headed to eBay….

I have most of the Roth era tour books. I don’t have 1978 Japan, Texxas Jam and CWMF. Seems to me I downloaded scans of the Japan book at some point. I love those books.

Looks like there is a Japan OU812 book, and a 1978 Black Sabbath book as well.

I always though the DLR era VH tour books were horrible, poorly done based on other bands and their tour books. The VH tour books always had photo’s from the prior tour and there was never any text. Iron Maiden had some of the best tour books of all time.
