This has been discussed before and it’s a terrible idea. sam is done in VH. The sam halen crowd had their parting shot in 2004… then fatso wrote that terrible book tossing Ed under the bus. He didn’t have to do that. Even sam loyalists got sick of him after that. He made his money and now it’s time to just go to cabo and die.

No way… sam is pushing 70 FFS… he needs to just go away or work with talent that’s more on his level like nugent and kid rock.
it’s the end of the road for VH and they’re going out with Dave as they should. If we get new music and tour in 2015 that’s it IMO… If we’re lucky Ed will play on some of Wolf’s stuff in the future. My best case is they dig back into the vaults and release the classic footage so people in their 20′s can see and hear what a real rock & roll band is while everyone in the band is still alive.

Playing with Mike/the original 4 would be the right thing to do, if nothing else at least for the fans. Not that Ed really gives a shit about the fans, but it sure would be nice. The ship sailed in 1996 as far as the mainstream taking notice but the hardcore fans would pony up for it.
