Featuring Alex Van Halen and Eddie Van Halen alongside David Lee Roth and original bassist Mark Stone, “Glitter” captures Van Halen at the very beginning of the band’s story. Released for the first time with Alex Van Halen’s signed limited edition, “Glitter” will mark the earliest Van Halen recording ever to be officially released. The record will also include a specially selected spoken-word recording from Alex Van Halen, drawn from his interviews with Genesis for the book.

ron(12490) | I would suspect that Alex would had to have gotten Dave’s permission to release this. He may have also needed Darlene Stone’s permission as well since her late husband Mark plays on this song. And of course Wolfgang would have had to sign off on it in his father’s place.

Since we’ve all heard the demo version, I’m kinda excited to hear a live version. With all the box sets of Hagar era material that came out with things we had already heard, this is a fresh change, as I don’t think I’ve ever heard Glitter live….
