His roommate had the idea of rigging up the wheelchair with a film camera and asked if Johnson could rig it up if he bought the camera,
to which Johnson replied, “Sure!”
His roommate owned the camera ! Perhaps his roommate had all of the master reels & finally,
after all these years, had them converted to digital.

It would make sense that his roommate has the original footage and DJ got a copy of that and claiming the footage is his? Maybe, the fire thing and everything else was just a ploy since he doesn’t have the 8 reel??? Like Randy mentioned, if somebody does get the entire HD version and releases it then I wouldn’t mind sloppy 2nd or sloppy 10,000th.. It’s still going to be the same clean version as the original!

It’s sad to hear that he passed since he was really a very nice person when we would contact each other. He did give me the full DLR show from Fresno ’86 to share here at VHT. So maybe now somebody has their hands on all this footage by either buying it or it was handed over to them. This is turning into a Soap Opera!
