ron (11799) | Chart Scene: Sammy Hagar Lands On LIVE75 With ‘Best Of All Worlds’ Summer Tour Sammy Hagar has the highest-ranked debut on LIVE75 and lands in the top 15 on the chart based on ticket sales reported from six performances of his “The Best of All Worlds” tour with Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Joe Satriani. The ticket count at the six concerts, Aug. 13 through 20, totaled 60,783 for an average of 10,130 per show to score the No. 14 ranking. With Loverboy onboard as a special guest, the North American rock tour kicked off on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a string of outdoor amphitheater dates planned through the end of August. Box office results reported from the first 21 concerts on the trek show overall grosses totaling $19.4 million from 241,719 sold tickets in U.S. and Canadian cities. The top venues among the reported shows include Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park which hosted the largest crowd on the tour. The venue’s ticket count reached 16,071 on Aug. 3 with a gross of $1.04 million for the performance. The largest gross, though, was recorded in the Denver market, a $1.79 million haul at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison on Aug. 11. Along with the sheds, Hagar also played a handful of arenas during the tour including MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas which logged the top gross. His sold-out performance there on Aug. 9 took in $1.23 million from 11,198 sold tickets. Box office totals were also reported for a concert on Aug. 19 at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Attendance there was 9,916 with a gross topping $1.16 million. ronQuote |
