I haven’t seen this the re-broadcast of Paris 1985 but it must be an upgrade and best version out there. Any chance of it being torrented here?

videoman almost killed this thread with his impressive list of concerts :)

It’s too many cassettes to send so if unclehomey is interested in some of them we could start with them.
Good idea?

I’m interested in just bout anything DP Mark II, III, IV. etc. – Any of the 1985 stuff – Perfect Strangers stuff is great. Of course any and all Tommy Bolin too.

I was lucky enough to see DP 3 times on that 85 tour – I’ll never forget it. As Ian Gillan says:

“I know I must remain inside this silent well of sorrow”

BTW all the DP stuff on Youtube is great – the 72 stuff from that college in NY rocks. I noticed that Blackmore does a lot of moves that Eddie kind of got associated with. The trem picking, pickslide stuff, etc.

Any any Rainbow w RJD would be great. I was lucky enough to see them w Nazareth and April Wine in 78.

Check out Van Halen’s version of Rainbow’s Man on the Silver Mountain – from 76 – man Eddie nailed Blackmore’s tone and sound.

Funny how Ed could nail a lot of peep’s tone (Clapton, Page, Blackmore, Billy Gibbons, etc., etc.), but nobody can nail Ed’s tone.
