I just found a CDR that I had forgotten I had.

It’s Detroit, May 1, 1979 in WAV format.

The WAV files are split into two disc folders; disc 2 begins with “Outta Love.”
It doesn’t have any lineage or info in the files, unfortunately. The disc was created in 2007 and it is (568 MB on disk) for 20 items in size.
If there’s interest, I can share via WT.

Have you listened to this ? Are there any references to Detroit ? Different than 5/2 ?

I had a cassette labeled 5/1 but if I remember correctly, it wasn’t actually 5/1.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

After Beautiful Girls, during the the lead-in to Atomic Punk, someone very close to the mic yells three times, “Eruption!” – It’s very clear. That’s a way to identify this source, which is labeled 5/1.

I have the version you are talking about Greg. Mine is also labelled 5/1 with the Eruption calls during the intro to On Fire. It’s a good sounding show. Is yours a lower gen?

UPDATE:
I shared my 1st Gen cassette copy (converted to FLAC) of the 5/01/1979 show back in 2007.
It starts out “Hello Michigan” & DLR references Detroit during LUTS.
There are several spots where the taper yells ‘Eruption’
This was one of my first FLAC conversions – No FLAC Figerprints, etc.
As for the 5/02 reference – the taper said he had the 5/02 show.
When he sent me the tape, it was the same as the 5/01 show.
I never did find out if he had the 5/02 show.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I have the same one too Greg, labeled 5/1, no lineage, with the Eruption calls in the same place. However, my version has only 17 songs at 541 MB on an external drive (not sure if transfer to a disk would account for the MB difference), so I’d be interested to listen for any differences.

This might very well be your conversion MOJO. The files are dated Feb. 2007. Thanks for checking on yours!

Wjamflan: there’s no lineage/text file on the disc.

Here’s what I have – well worth grabbing ….

Panamaniac: I sent you a DM here a couple weeks back. Not sure if you got it. Either way, can you send me a message here? Maybe that will do the trick in case mine didn’t arrive in your DM box. Thanks!

RELATED:

Here’s what Lou had cataloged back in 2007. No idea if this is same transfer or not, but seems unlikely since the track times don’t match up with what I have just shared here.
