I call him embarrassing Uncle Dave now. It sucks, because I know exactly what you are saying. Who isn’t different than they were 30 years ago, but damn…. the cool guy that was, is no more. Completely agree… it’s a shame he is so very different. I always liked Dave more than Sammy, but at least Sammy is more like he used to be than what Dave has become. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |

| Gilligan (1518) | I enjoy Dave’s quirkiness. Yes, I wish he was more “badass” too, but he’s certainly comfortable in his own skin! I often think about who I would like to sit next to on a 5 hour flight. Dave’s always been near the top of my list (after the requisite supermodels). I’m guessing you missed his 1985 EP Crazy From The Heat & videos California Girls & Just A Gigalo….They were all over MTV in the mid ’80′s. It’s pretty much sort of the same thing now. I suspect he’ll still be doing this kinda thing into his late 80′s or ’90′s. HalenbergQuote |
