It really helps you understand and appreciate what another musician is doing a bit more if you do it yourself… It’s all good, whatever floats your boat. That same logic can be applied to your list of examples as well…If you were a chef, you’d appreciate and recognize what makes a particular pizza good or not, if you’re a finance guy, you understand what makes money and what doesn’t and the principals behind it, etc… we can do this all day. Oh, and how dare you belittle Tiny Tim, sir???
