Well, if you make it really easy like that I’d be interested.I have NO interest in creating daily lineups…

I don’t watch or follow baseball, but that will just make it all the more sweet when I beat everybody!

Here is an update on the league.

It’s a FREE league.

The league will have 6 teams.. I’m waiting on Gilligan and a coworker of mine to sign up which will complete our league.

It will be National League ONLY!

2 Divisions

It will be an auto draft like we have in football. I set it where we can set your line up on Monday only before the 1st game for that day. This will be your line up for the entire week Mon-Sun.

Like I mentioned, we are waiting on 2 more people to sign up and I hope to have them sign up soon.

In order to to an all MLB league we will need 4 or 6 more people to sign up but if mot 6 total teams will do.

I tried to make this as simple as possible so you don’t have to worry about a draft & daily line ups.

Gilligan,
I sent you a PM with all the info you need to sign up!

WE HAVE BASEBALL!

We have the 6 teams needed to do a NL Fantasy Baseball.

I’m working on the point system and I’m hoping we can get the auto draft done by sometime next week. This way it gives people a week to try to make trades before the 1st game.

Make sure you go through your pre-draft selections or you can stick with Yahoo’s selections.

I’m sending you all a PM

This League There are 6 total teams with two divisions. This is a National League (NL) players only league with No American League (AL) players!

The Draft Is done in a serpentine order. After the first round has been completed, the last team to select in round 1 will select first in round 2. This will alternate each round, so that the team selecting first overall, will select first in the odd rounds and last in the even rounds. You can preselect your rankings before the draft or leave it by Yahoo’s rankings. Preselecting ranks must be done before the draft. The draft is set for Wednesday March 21st./strong> Teams can draft any number of players at any position, as long as they meet the minimum starting line up requirements. Drafted teams will consist of the following:

1- C (Catcher)
1- 1B (First Baseman)
1- 2B (Second Baseman)
1- 3B (Third Baseman)
1- SS (Shortstop)
3- OF (Outfielder)
1- UTL (Utility Player)
4- SP (Starting Pitcher)
2- RP (Relief Pitcher)
5- BN (Bench Player)

Weekly Line Ups
Each week, teams will submit their weekly line up for the upcoming week. Teams will have up until 5 minutes prior to the start of the first game for the new week to submit their line ups. The first day of the week will be Monday and the last day will be Sunday. Teams must submit a valid roster. If you roster is invalid, your last valid roster will be substituted in its place. Starting line ups become locked 5 minutes prior to the start of the first game for the week or the end of the day on Monday. If you have a player starting who is not playing, for any reason, whether it be injury, demotion, suspension, etc, that player cannot be changed for that week. You must wait until the next week’s game to determine if you would like to replace the player. All team owners are responsible for updating their own line ups. Pitcher’s hitting statistics will not be used in owners hitting totals. Hitters pitching statistics will not be used in pitching totals.

Head-to-Head Points In each week’s (Mon-Sun) Head-to-Head matchup, teams will accrue fantasy points based on players in their starting lineups for each day. Players on the bench for any given day will not accrue points even if they play in an actual game. The team that finishes the matchup with the highest total gets credit for a win while the opponent gets charged with a loss. If the two sides end up tied in points, both teams get credit for a tie in the standings.

Scoring – Players in your starting line up can gain or loss points for your team. There are 15 positions that will follow the point system for each game:
Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, UTL.
Pitchers: SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP.
The following points will be awarded or subtracted from your team based on the following:

Batting Categories

1. 1B – Singles +1 point
2. 2B – Doubles +2 points
3. 3B – Triples +3 points
4. HR – Home Runs +4 points
5. RBI – Runs Batted In +1 point
6. R – Runs +1 point
7. BB – Walks (Batters) +0.5 points
8. KO – Strikeouts (Batter) -1 point
9. SB – Stolen Bases +1 point

Pitching Categories

1. W – Wins +10 points
2. BBI – Walks Issued (Pitchers) -0.5 points
3. Hits- Hits Allowed -1 point
4. ER – Earned Runs -1 point
5. INN – Innings +1 point
6. K – Strikeouts (Pitcher) +1 point
7. QS- Quality Starts +3 points
8. BS- Blown Saves -3 points
9. S – Saves +5 points

WAIVERS OVERVIEW Waivers is the time period by which a player must wait before becoming free agents. Players go into waivers when your draft is complete and immediately after a player is dropped from a team. The standard game system enforces a 2-day waiver period during which time all team owners are allowed to put a waiver claim in to add him to their team. Players on waivers are listed with the day of the week the player is scheduled to clear waivers (ie, “WA (Thu)”). To put a waiver claim in on a player, click the “Add” button. At this time you will be brought through the appropriate adjust roster and confirm transaction pages to submit the claim.

On the date waivers are scheduled to clear, the system looks to see if any teams have a waiver claim on that player. If none do, then the player becomes a free agent who can be added on a first-come, first-served basis. If only one team has a claim on the player, then he is added to that team and the team’s priority in the waiver order is moved to the last slot (#10). If more than one team have a claim on a player, then the system looks to see which team has the highest waiver order priority (closest to “1″), that team will win the waiver bid and the team’s priority moved to the last slot. All players added to your team via waivers are placed in a bench slot. Each team’s waiver priority is displayed on the My Team page.

ADDING / DROPPING PLAYERS
In Standard leagues there are going to be many unclaimed players available in the player pool. These players are called “Free Agents”. You may want to pick up one of these Free Agents (players not currently on a team in your league) for your elite team. You can search the player pool by going to the “Players” page.

NOTE: If you wish to claim a player from free agency, you must have an open roster (active or bench) slot or drop one of your current players in exchange.
Each team will be allowed no more than 3 acquisitions per week. Waivers will be held only once a week and will be on Sunday evenings only.
If a player started off playing on a American League (AL) team and ends up being traded to a National League (NL) team during any point of the season then that player will not be allowed to be picked up off of waivers. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Example: If Albert Pujols gets traded from the Los Angeles Angels from Southern California in the Western Hemisphere to the ALL MIGHTY Los Angeles Dodgers. He will NOT be allowed to be claimed off of waivers. If you have a player that gets traded to an American League team during any point of the season then this will not effect your team in
any way.

TRADING OVERVIEW Trades are an agreement between two team owners to exchange one or more players. Trades can be processed with an uneven number of players as long as they do not violate any roster settings. Trading can be the most enjoyable part of the game, but it can also be a source of frustration for owners who don’t understand certain policies or don’t do their research on the player(s) involved in a trade.

PROPOSE A TRADE To propose a trade, go to another person’s main team page, click “propose trade” and select the player(s) you wish to receive. You will then be asked which of your player(s) you want to trade and be asked how long you wish the trade offer to be active for. You will be given the option of sending the owner an email explaining your interest in conjunction with the deal, or you can offer the trade without sending a corresponding email. After the trade offer is submitted, the system will display a pending move on your team page, as well as on the other owner’s page. In addition, the owner may receive an email informing them of the proposal had you selected that option during the trade offer process.

ACCEPT A TRADE
That team owner can then go to his/her team page to review the deal, and either accept or decline it. If no action is taken within the specified number of days, the system will automatically cancel the trade offer. The pending move will then disappear on both team pages.
If the trade is rejected, you will receive an email notifying you of that result. If the offer is accepted, your entire league will be notified via email and the other team owners can review it based on your league settings. In Custom leagues, if a team has multiple owners either of them can individually accept (or decline) the trade offer.

TRADE LIMITS
There is no limit on the number of trades you can propose or accept.

TRADE DEADLINE
All standard leagues use the following trade deadline:ALL trades must be accepted before Sunday, August 19th, 2012 at 12 p.m. ET

NOTE: The trade deadline is only for trade transactions between teams. Owners are still free to add and drop players via free agency and waivers throughout the entire season.

TRADE REVIEW PROCESS Whether you’re in a standard or prize-eligible league, there is now a 24-hour trade review period after a trade is accepted which allows team owners the chance to review a trade after it’s accepted. This is done to prevent unbalanced trades from processing or collusion between two teams. After the trade offer is submitted, the system will display a pending move on your team page, as well as on the other owner’s page. In addition, the owner may receive an email informing them of the proposal had you selected that option during the trade offer process. That team owner can then go to his/her team page to review the deal, and either accept or decline it. If no action is taken within the specified number of days, the system will automatically cancel the trade offer. The pending move will then disappear on both team pages.

If the trade is rejected, the team proposing the trade will receive an email notifying them of that result. If the offer is accepted, the entire league will be notified via email and the other team owners can review it based on your league settings.
During the trade review period, all team owners have a 24-hour period to review the deal, and should they feel the trade is not fair or balanced, submit a formal protest to the ESPN trade panel. Within 12 hours following the trade review period, the final decision registered by the Yahoo experts will cause the deal to either process or be vetoed.

REACHING THE PLAYOFFS Only four teams in a league make the playoffs. These four are comprised of the two division champs and two wild-card teams. Division champs are the teams that win the league divisions. The next two teams according to the tie-breaker below are the wild card teams.

PLAYOFF BRACKET SETUP The Head-to-Head fantasy playoffs take place during the last two weeks. To view your league’s playoff bracket click on the “Playoff Bracket” link on the “Scoreboard” tab. The playoffs start on MLB Week 23 and run through MLB Week 24 of the MLB season (2 weeks). Round 1 takes place during Weeks 23, and Round 2 takes place during Weeks 24.

Week 23 Playoffs- Semifinals
1st seed vs. 4th seed (Bracket 1)
2nd seed vs. 3rd seed (Bracket 2)

Week 24 Playoffs- Finals
Winners of Bracket 1 vs. Bracket 2

PLAYOFF SEEDING AND TIEBREAKERS
When your league converts into playoff mode the system automatically generates a seed for each team in the league based on the regular season results. The seeds determine where the system places each team in the playoffs. The primary factors which determine seeds are:
1. Division Winner(s)
2. Winning Percentage
In the event that two or more teams have the same winning percentage at the conclusion of the regular season, and have played the same number of head-to-head games between them, the following tie breaking system determines the seed:
1 – Overall record *
2 – Head-to-head record
3 – Division record

* NOTE: Overall record is based on winning percentage. Therefore, a team that has more loss than another team might have the same winning percentage.
In the event that two or more teams have the same winning percentage at the conclusion of the regular season, and have NOT played the same number of head-to-head games between them, the following tie breaking system determines seed:
1 – Overall record
2 – Division record

This is my first season being commissioner for a Fantasy Baseball League so I’m still trying to figure this thing out. I hope we have a fun season and I’m trying to make this as easy as possible for all of us.. This is for fun and I hope we can do this annually and have it grow to all of MLB.

How are you guys enjoying this so far?

As for me Yahoo Fantasy Baseball sucks!!! I’m in 2 different leagues and CBS sports blows Yahoo away.

Yahoo doesn’t tell you what pitchers will make 2 starts that upcoming week. They also don’t show when your player is pitching and show real time stats pitch by pitch. Yahoo also doesn’t show real time stats when your batter is on deck, or pitch by pitch when they are at bat. CBS shows you everything so you can be more organized with your roster.

Next season I’m planning on doing it on CBS or MLB with real time stats that will at least let you do roster changes that Monday morning unlike Yahoo that cuts you off on Sunday night.

I hope to do a league that is both NL & AL with unlimited moves so your free to dump and pick up as you please.

I’m hoping we can get 12 next season! Mike & Wes now got their feet wet in this so it should get easier next season.. You guys will see the difference next season when we switch to another league how much more organized it will be.

I’m in 1st place in both leagues! SO I plan to win both leagues.

One change I would make in the scoring is that I would make a walk worth 1 point instead of 0.5. There should be no difference between that and a single.

This is my 1st time running a league so I’m learning as I go.. I have more of a general idea what to do and not to do.. The scoring in new league will be different and more high scoring then it is now.. Plus being on another site instead of Yahoo will be a huge difference!

I was already planning on making a walk 1 point and a strike out -0.05… This will make it more high scoring plus a few other changes that will make it more fun.

The key is trying to get 12 total?? I’m going to ask a few of the guys I’m in the league with now that actually make an effort and do roster moves.. Nothing more annoying then guys in the league giving up or not do moves or submit complete rosters.. That’s where unlimited roster moves will make a difference!

Once we do a AL/NL league it gets exciting!

The reason I did a NL only was we had only 6 so its the reason why I did 3 moves per week because there was limited players as free agents.. Trying to make it more of a challenge!

That no hitter against them was strange. C’mon, 6 pitchers combine for no hitter! 6 pitchers!!!!!

The major thing is how you can manage with injuries!
