Well boys and girls after being with this group for many many many years (first year), I am walking away. I’ve met several people over the years that have been very nice and great to work with. I have had the pleasure (especially over the last 6 months) to meet some extremely rude people and this is why I have decided to leave. I have brought video and audio to this site over the years and recieved such back and thanks to all. To some of you new folks and some of you older ones too, treat the people your dealing with a little nicer, maybe a little respect. When asking for clarification on some things, you’d think I was the devil himself from the answers I’ve been given. My favorite was from a person that told me “Perhaps I should go learn a little about VH boots before writing me” FUCK YOU, YOU LITTLE PRISON BITCH!!!! Now I feel better.
So Pogos has been released and so has Tucson 79…………………………….Here we go, the last you’ll see of me on the boards. So when this next one gets released, you’ll need to go find it yourself……..or I’m sure Ron will let you know. Releases after this, yeah there is another scheduled for this quarter from the year 1979 from overseas.
Here’s the snippet from 79 Rehearsals you all know the song.

By the way on this LP that is coming out there is a special track that is home or hotel recording………

Peace out…….its been fun………..look for my book on VH Vinyl Boots to released in May. Oh wait I don’t know shit, thats right I forgot…………………

Mike – Thank you for your contributions to this site. I’m looking forward to your book on VH Vinyl Boots, even though I’m not a huge vinyl collector myself. I used to see a ton of vinyl boots & promos at record shows in the 80′s – pre-CDs. Some VH shows could only be found on vinyl. For the older collectors, they are just as important as finding a cassette transfer from a master tape. I can understand your frustrations with some members being rude. I had a similar experience & it makes you want to not participate. I’ve learned to ignore these little twits, even though you are thinking F***Y**. Don’t let a few rotten apples spoil your passion & positive interactions. Life’s too short to hold grudges or take things personally from those that don’t even know you, your knowledge or your collectiing history.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Shame you have to go but thanks for everything, I’ve used your last VH Vinyl book as a reference for my expanding collection, still got 6 to go! so it will be great having an up date on it’s way.

That’s the existing one but well worth getting… you’d be surprised to see just how many covers there are for the Pasadena Civic 77, they really cashed in on that show.

I think the new book will be out in May.

Total bummer to read this Mike. I’ve always looked forward to your input on vhboots topics here among others. I’m actually really shocked to read about the way you’ve been treated. I thought that kind of behaviour you experienced was reserved for other VH sites. Bottom line is some people suck and it’s too bad you are feeling like you have to leave the community. Happy Trails brother and I hope to hear from you again in the future.

So,I’m trying to keep these Mad Hatter vinyl releases straight:
1. Pogos, Kansas City 4/3/78 – clear vinyl
2. Tucson, AZ 79 – split color vinyl
3. 79 rehearsals – 3 LPs

Is that right?

Cut2TheCrash: I believe you can get the book here http://www.blurb.com/b/261320-underground-van-halen-vinyl-a-pictorial-history-van

Thanks for the link. But he mentioned the book out later this year. I think the link is to the old version.
