For the first time in his career, Sammy Hagar releases an acoustic album titled, Lite Roast. Sammy is joined by Vic Johnson (Waboritas) on vocals and guitar. This set features 11 tracks including “Dreams,” “Finish What You Started” and “Eagles Fly.”

“I realize that when I played my songs acoustically, it made me sing different. It brought a new light to the lyrics that I’d written throughout my career,” says Sammy Hagar.

For the first time in his career, Sammy Hagar releases an acoustic album of some of his well-known songs. Featuring 11 tracks, Sammy is joined by longtime band guitarist of the “Waboritas,” Vic Johnson, on guitar and vocals.

“It’s very live, very personal with Vic accompanying me on guitar and singing background vocals. No overdubs…I think that my hardcore fans are really going to love it.”

I cant wait for this CD. I saw his acoustic show in SF with James Hetfield. it was awesome!

Hmmmmm……..not sure what to think about this. Is it a money grab or something he really wanted to put out. I will certainly give it a listen but would rather see just a good solid Sammy Rock record. (unlike his last few solo efforts)

King Edward: Hmmmmm……..not sure what to think about this. Is it a money grab or something he really wanted to put out.

They were working up acoustic versions of the songs for a benefit show earlier this year, thought it sounded good, so hit the record button. With sales of CDs the way they are these days, putting out a CD isn’t a “money grab”. :-) Personally, I’m surprised (but happy) it’s seeing release as a CD. I expected it to be a digital (craptastic audio) download only.
