Joe also mentions what a big fan of EVH he is and he always extends an invitation to EVH to go out with him on the G3 tour. I think that would be an awesome thing to see.

I don’t think it would be all that great.. to me Eddie only sounds right in VH. He doesn’t play with others often, but when he does he just sticks out like a sore thumb.. not that it’s a bad thing, it’s just that no one else on the planet plays like he does so it doesn’t blend well. I want to hear Eddie play VH songs with Dave.

And I don’t think Sam would care if Joe toured with Eddie. Eddie’s the one who has the problem with other band members not named Van Halen playing with others.  Quite the contrary, Sam would use it as an opportunity to bury the hatchet.

vhrob(1727) | ever since 96 during the whole Roth / Hagar breakup, MTV music awards rumor mill fiasco VH has 100% completely been against letting ANYTING out as far as what they are doing until its literally right around the corner. Its too bad really….. it would be nice if they would throw folks a bone once in a while as other bands do. We just unfortunately picked the most silent band on the planet to be major fans of….. thank God for bootlegs, guitars, magazines and websites like this to hold us over…. ha ha, Rob
