mikeyV: Ummm I’m pretty sure that I have the DVD directly from the Master copy of the St paul Video.I got if from the gentleman many years ago and had it up for trade here….Sadly almost nobody wanted it……..let me go see if I can find it……found it.It is 9 minutes and 30 seconds long with sound………. Hell I’m sure Fletch has this also. MikeyV

I don’t know how to use any of the sharing sites. Always been worried about safety. Would love to have the high quality St. Paul.

Honestly its been so long (or I’m so damn old) I don’t remember the guys name. I remember we had some emails going back and forth trying to get it it, and finally he was kind enough to send it to me. I shared it with a couple of folks here and that was it.

DIME and JTT are really safe to use… Dropbox is probably safer and easier.

I use Norton for virus protection, and never had an issue with any of the above.

Welcome b1j1b1 !

What type of recording equipment did you use for this & other shows ?

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

b1j1b1: I’m very excited and anxious to make this available, however I’m still hard at work preparing artwork that will hopefully blow your minds, if you are into that type of thing. It is a huge project as it is probably more like a tour book(and a huge one at that) than a cd booklet.

If you need extra hand with artwork … let us know.

Here’s the pass if needed:

The backstage pass is fantastic and is a great addition! Thanks!! Unfortunately, I’ve gotten absurd with my photos and booklet idea. Project looks really great but, I’ve got so much stuff it’s practically a book now. I’m anally determined to finish the project altogether before putting the concert audio out. I’m quite busy with my business and my family so my free time is somewhat scarce. I’m definitely planning on making it freely available still, and soon. For excitement’s sake, after I’ve also been listening to my July 14,1981 Fair Warning Pittsburgh show, and although the recording is pretty distorted, I find that if I cut some of the high/low end frequencies (that’s where most of the noise is), it’s more listenable than I previously thought. It has a very direct sound, presumably from being right in front of the stage. I’ve only got the first couple tracks saved to my computer (the rest are on cassette tapes), but after 35 years I can confirm that the band sounded great that night, at least on On Fire and Sinner’s Swing. It’ll be next. Then I’ll check out my 1982 Largo, MD Diver Down tour recording and make it available, too.

oh…uh…wow!! That’s great news, as long as you’re still determined to get this one out there! I hear ya on all that, being anal and perfectionist about the artwork, etc. I’m still working on a DVD series for way too long ;-)

And……………7/14/81 ??!!?? Think that’s another unreleased show eh. That would be amazing to get. Yeah I’ve done some light remastering on several VH bootlegs and find if you cut some of the high end you can get a much better sound and kills some of the distortion or buzz saw.

Yessir! ALL great news! I’m doubly excited about the possibility of a new Fair Warning tour show. That’s probably my most favorite era of VH! 8-O
