Mark: The sword dance with Roth back on the 1984 tour was beyond stupid.

I agree now, but to an 11 year old kid seeing his first ever concert, Dave was a fuckin Ninja!

VAiN: This looks like 91-93… what has this johnnyG guy done with Ed?

No idea at all just ran across it while surfing for something else.

RADICAL Killer 1984 pics there just awesome!!! 8)

Can’t even comment politely about the sword routine comment that was the utmost innovative phenomenal display of intense vitriolic and artistic physical graffiti ever performed live in a rock show. The discipline and dexterity it must of took to pull that off borders on genius. It was MINDBLOWINGLY impressive to say the least. Can’t imagine how anyone wouldn’t find it entertaining. Completely badass to the bone. That was the real deal there one wrong move his arm is sliced & diced bleeding real blood for rock n roll to the nearest hospital. The amount of hours spent practicing that routine is akin to what Bruce Lee or other martial arts movie actors would do if not more. That’s Olyimpic style stuff. It was only about a minute or so and the music matched perfectly. It’s like they always said to make the music look like it sounds. Just a dynamite intro to rip into Everybody Wants Some. Fantastic showmanship all the way around nobody ever did that before. Far more impressive than a hydraulic drum riser and smokbombs or whatever other pyrotechnics and gimmicks seem to be expected from rock shows.

I did not scroll all the way through this thread, but ran across this while doing some ticket stub/date research:

I apologize if it’s already been posted. If not, it’s got some really cool early shots.

I thought Dave & the sword routine was kinda cool. Better than riding a surfboard over the crowd.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Hard to find the Rare & Unseen Photos # 2 thread it should be easier to find.

There’s a guy at VH Links who posted that picture of EVH from the Whiskey a Go Go in 1977 its the pic you guys studied and commented about to speculate about the guitar.

I’m trying to find it so I can post the link to the thread at VH Links where this guy posted the same pic months afterwards and his comments make it sound like he’s accepting kudos as though it was him who first posted the pic. I remember seeing it here for the first time whoever posted it said they got it from Greg then great commentary followed with attention to the details and curly cords an so forth. Comparing the pic with closeups against Jenny Lens pics.

This guy at the Links has made about ten comments accepting kudos as though he’s the one who first unleashed this magnificent pic and I need to find the link to post over there to show the date the pic was first posted here then expose him as a fraud taking credit for someone else’s picture.

Halenberg – are you talking about this pic?
From this post: http://www.vhtrading.com/topic/rare-or-unseen-vh-photos-2/page/16/#post-34980
If so, it’s from wjamflan’s photo bucket account – maybe he’s the one who posted it at the Links?! The original post here was on April 19th of this year and he says it’s from “Greg”.

Sorry if that’s not what you’re talking about – I just had a few minutes on my hands and this is what I found.

YES!! Thank You Gilligan much appreciated that’s exactly what I was looking for.

I’m fairly certain is was not WJ Wimflam who posted it at the Links I’ll double check to make sure.

You see what I’m getting at here is extremely petty and smallminded but what happened was I just noticed it in a Frankie guitar thread and immediately recognized the photo and thought to myself this guy really takes the cake. I KNEW this pic was posted here FIRST like it says April 19th then his post over there were from August so he’s not fooling me at all the others might think it’s his pic since they thanked him and went nuts since they’d never seen it before but I knew where I saw it before.

Granted its not even at all my place to speak since it was WJ Wimflam who posted it and said he got it from Greg. But of course it goes without saying they both are probably are above petty nonsense such as this or never noticed it before or if they did didn’t care. But I’m not and am going to click his post with this link so he knows he’s not fooling me with his false claim of sharing the pic.

The way I see it this guy found the pic here then posted it over there on his own photobucket then when people commented about it he accepted praise for sharing the pic without giving proper credit to where it originated from. I find that dishonest and reprehensible worthy of a kick in the ass.

So I’m just going to post the truth.
