Does anyone want to start the conversation of the sound check vs. an actual concert with Dave’s vocals?

VAiN: I read DLR was at the soundcheck on 7/11 – can anyone confirm or deny?

My brother was in the parking lot at 4:30 on 7-11, when I got there at 5:30 I asked him about soundcheck. He said he thought they were playing back audio from a previous show, as he heard Daves vocals. So yeah, I think maybe he was there. Not sure though.

I’ll take this one… I love that soundcheck audio.. hearing the riffs and the band play is amazing, no doubt. I could easily do 2+ hours of that. I don’t think the average fan could though.. Dave is the icing on top.. you either love it or tolerate it, but to me that’s part of the VH sauce. I’m very excited that the band as a whole is sounding tighter and better and it’s only been 3 shows. Dave seems to be on the vocals and I hope it stays that way then it won’t even be an issue… the setlist and performance so far has killed it!

I definitely like this better than the shows. Eddie sounds great! I really like hearing his current guitar tone on the old songs.

Just pulled a 16 hour day and have to be back in in 9 hours AND I shut off my WiFi at home. I’ll send links to those who PM’d tomorrow. This is an AWESOME recording and if I could credit and thank the actual source, I would, TEN FOLD! I’ve tried searching for the source of that link again and I’ll be damned if I can find it. If I do find it I will try to copy the URL and see if there’s any way to track it back to the original source. I would assume that the source of the recording will eventually see this on YouTube or see it shared and speak out. Time will tell.

I’d like a DB link…. PM sent.

Thanks.

Maybe they could just bury Dave’s vocals in the mix?

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!

Thanks voodoo !
Don’t know how Dave could pull that off, but It’ll be great to hear On Fire live, I wouldn’t mind some changes on the setlist.
