Gilligan: One way to capture audio from really anything on your computer (music videos, podcasts, video games, etc.) is to use Audacity. It’s a free little program with TONS of great features. Basically all you have to do is open up Audacity, select Stereo Mix and hit record. Then it will record whatever sounds come out of your computer which you can save as .wav or mp3s.

Whereas technical you are correct, I don’t think it is the best way to extract the audio. What you are basically doing is recording the audio through the soundcard. Not all soundcards are made equal. It would probably be better to extract the video and audio. But what you said will work.

Yeah, for me Audacity is just a quick and easy way to capture audio that isn’t worth buying (like from this particular music video). It sounds just fine to me, but if I want premier quality, I’ll use a different method.

Cool.Thanks Ron.
That was great to see them loose and having fun.

Remember a while ago someone had said VH were filming a DOCO.Hope there is a lot more to this stuff that will come out on a DVD.Jeff from vhnd has said that the interviews snippets we were given from The Roxy will not be on the bonus dvd, so you would think they will come out on something.

That room they are playing in looks a lot like the place Dave was in when his Scrap book video came out a few weeks back. You know where he was singing Love Train.

From Yahoo Music:

The video is shot at Henson Recording Studios and includes a personal introduction from Roth, as well.

This was pretty good. Dave’s voice is obviously shredded in the higher register, so he has to strain now. Truth be told, he’s been singing that way for a while, but it was still ok. Otherwise, it’s just getting used to his “unmedicated” in-your-face style that’s new. By that, I mean the Spicoli-like surfer/stoner personality with the raspy, wheezy voice is long gone, as it also was in 2007-8. The background vocals sounded fine, but the guitar and drums were stuck so far in the background, it made all of the vocals stand out more than they probably should. It’ll be interesting to see if the other acoustic videos hold up better than this one.
