I used to have this vinyl and it wasn’t in the best of condition. I sold it many years ago. I have a copy of this show on cassette, but I recently found an mp3 download of the show and it sounds amazing! The only problem is several of the files are only 6 seconds long and I know the complete songs were on the recording. Does anyone have the master recording of this show? I don’t see it listed on DIME, so I’m curious where the source is from. The mp3 post implies the rip is from vinyl.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I think I have this one somewhere. I’ll have to compare them. I don’t recall this show being as clear as the mp3s I downloaded and I didn’t think it was stereo, as the mp3s seem to be.

Just read the info on London Invasion. The version I downloaded has YRGM, so it’s not from this CD.

As Lou would say … if you have it on mp3, you really don’t have it at all. I wonder about the source of the mp3s.

As far as the mp3 downloads … sometimes they show up as just a second or two if the download is unsuccessful. Maybe try downloading it again. After that try to find a non-mp3 source version. Just my suggestion.

It was the entire show zipped into one file.

As far as the “Traders Creed” goes, I’ve been doing this shit long enough and I’m well aware of the anal retentiveness out there. I like to put a lot of these shows as mp3s into my phone or audio player for my car. I don’t trade them or share them in this format. In all honesty, if I can have an mp3 source that is stereo, low gen and clean vs a FLAC/lossless version that’s 10th gen and sounds like shit, I’ll take the mp3 for my own person use until a decent lossless version comes along.

If it sounds good… then it is good.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!

Okay, so where did you get this MP3′d show (in the form of a ZIP file) from? Usenet, a web site, torrent?

Maybe there’s a clue there where this version was sourced.

I have the vinyl, but no good way to capture it.

I have a FLAC of this but it came with no notes so I can’t speak to its lineage; it sounds pretty nice though
