Quality: B/B-

Romeo Delight
Unchained
Drum Solo
The Full Bug
Running With The Devil
Break
Jamie’s Cryin’
Little Guitars
Where Have All the Good Times Gone
Bass Solo
Everybody Wants Some!

Notes: This is incomplete tape of this night, but the only material that circulates as far as I know. There are some small hiccups in the tape, so I’m guessing the recorder must have stopped working for the taper. Quality gets better after the first tune, but it’s average at best. Still nice to have some type of recording from this date. Roth tells the crowd Eddie has won guitar player of the year as voted by Guitar Player magazine during “Unchained.”

I think this is One of the shows Eddie played with a cast after breaking his wrist.

PM’ing you a link now.

I was bracing for the worst on this one…but pleasantly surprised.
even though 1st song is pretty rough and it’s incomplete show and there’s a fair amount of tape cuts and hiccups.

Given all that it has very very little hiss. So pretty clear overall. Probably a B/B- at times like the notes say.

Thanks Voodoo for posting that link. Some interesting commentary. I also recall someone at VH Links said EVH performed with such intensive energy they couldn’t tell any difference due to the fractured wrist.

Cool pic man. I assume that was taken by a fan. I like running across those ones as they are so rare. I remember the VHND and VH Rising posted pics of EVH with the cast, but haven’t noticed any others. Thanks for posting it.

Crazy eh? I kinda feel bad for VH. Even though they were huge w sold out concerts for year after year. They were only getting $8-12 bucks a head ;-)

They’re packing in the same amount at 10x the price.. insane! You know it’s bad when a $100 ticket seems ‘fair’…

It’s sad, really. It’s all corporate greed taking your money. Even taking inflation into consideration, today’s ticket prices should only be around $30 (considering the approximate 150% inflation rate since 1982). Ticket prices are ridiculous. I’d love to go to a concert every weekend, but at an average of $60-$75 per ticket, it’s not possible. Throw in gas, dinner, drinks, parking and merchandise…you’re looking at an average of a $400 night each night…
