I’ve listened to the Montreal 1982 discs in the car. Now I’ll have to see if I can find “Everybody Wants A Virgin” to compare.

This was one of my first bootlegs back then before the internet. I got the Montreal 82 cassette tapes as well as both Montreal ’82 and ’84 VHS tapes , and DLR Montreal ’86 VHS.

Verses “Everybody Wants A Virgin”.

a) It’s the same source recording
b) Levels are a bit higher, things are cleaned up, and there is slightly more audio

On disc 1 EBWAV fades in and out. M1982 does not, which results in a couple more seconds of audio, plus the audio that’s part of the fading. Otherwise, pretty much the same.

On disc 2
-there is maybe a second more of audio at the start on M1982.
-the audio problem with ICM on EBWAV is fixed
-on EBWAV the guitar solo fades out and Bottoms Up fades in, on M1982 there is a hard cut between them, but no fades.
-M1982 has more outro music at the end

So, it’s better, but I don’t feel it’s a significant improvement.

Is the dvd an upgrade Jim? I would like to buy it but if the dvd isn’t much better than what’s already out there, I wont waste my money.

Thanks for posting that Ron. I tried to order it from one of those links you posted but I haven’t heard back from them yet (over a week now).

I’m not sure why I was calling you Jim in my previous posts (sorry about that), but is the dvd an upgrade?

If I was to buy it from the ebay listing you posted, its going to cost me around $80AUD (that’s if no one else bids) and it would be handy to know what the quality is like first.
