Okay Guys…it’s up at Dime. Hope it’s up to everyone’s standards. Like I said in another post, I’m going out on a limb and say that after multiple listens, with and without over-ear headphones, I think my recording is FUCKING PHENOMENAL, which is why I gave it an “A+” rating. The mics were on point, I didn’t mess with any levels, didn’t EQ anything, etc. There is NO ARTWORK, so if someone wants to get creative, be my guest. I’ve done many recordings in the past with my MD recorder/player, and none have ever come close to being this good.

Enjoy! :-D

Thanks….I’m on it, but looks like you have a seeding problem. I’ve never started a torrent at Dime, so I don’t know if their procedures are different than JTT’s.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!

I noticed that, but I can’t seem to figure out what it is I did wrong.

Wish you guys had seen me pull a quick prayer move before the show.

If anyone has seen “American Pie”, I re-enacted the scene where, just before he walks back into his bedroom to hopefully tap Nadia, Jim looks skyward and says, “Please? Just let this happen? I’m begging you.” I looked towards the top of the venue and basically said the same thing.

Great sounding show Vince. The band is red hot. As the tour goes on they are really locking in. However, as the band gets better, I think Dave is getting worse. His voice is shot on this one. He talks his way through a lot of the songs. When he does try to sing it’s all over the place. It’s a little distracting, and takes a way from the show. It’s a shame too, the music sounds great! Eddie is definitely in the zone. Either way, great sounding show. Thanks!

I’ve noticed something about the recording I forgot to mention several days ago.

I uploaded it to my iPod, and I can hear a major difference in audio quality between that and the CD-R I burned. While the CD-R is crystal clear and sounds beautiful, the iPod audio sounds muffled and nowhere near what it sounds like on the CD-R. I eventually deleted the show from my iPod anyways.

Has anyone else encountered this?

What bitrate did you encode it to in iTunes? If it’s really low (128k), then yes, you’re going to hear a big difference in quality compared to CD. I would recommend encoding to 320k AAC (set in iTunes preferences > Import Settings)
