Yeah . . . but Ratt still beats the shit out of Ziggy Marley or Kool & The Gang.

I personally do not care who the opening act is when it comes to Van Halen.

EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

I would rather no opener like The Mohegan Sun show last year but if they are going to have an opener I do think they should stay away from other 80′s bands. I do like RATT but I think with them opening they turn into a nostalgia act like when POISON tours with other 80′s hair metal bands. They did pretty well last year and the tour before attendance wise pretty much all on their own. I mean who really bought a ticket to the show just for KATG or Marley.
I still think AIC would be a great opener but I don’t see that happening again.

On the last two tours, I watched the entire sets for both openers. I was just curious. In the end, it was a waste of time, and I was disappointed.

I would enjoy seeing Ratt, at least I know, and like their songs. Besides, I have never seen Ratt live before, so that would also be nice.

There has to be an advantage to having Ratt open. There has to be some crossover of fans for both bands. I have always liked Ratt… why not? Great guitar player, very good guitar driven songs.

I would also love to see Alice In Chains… even Alter Bridge would be cool.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!

I thought Kool and the Gang was fantastic. On the other hand, Ky-mani Marley was pretty bad. It makes sense to tour with another rock band, but I’m open to the alternatives. I like having an opening act – it makes the experience seem more genuine or something.

Well, RATT is opening the Oshkosh VH show, so there’s definitely something to the rumor.
