Unless the only member of any given band is the main songwriter, vocalist, ( David Coverdale comes to mind as a good example) or guitarist it’s downright misleading to the average audience. I recently found out Nazerath no longer has their original singer Dan McCafferty. These bands tour the oldies circuit playing casinos and whatnot I imagine a lot of folks are surprised when they see them live in person. Back in the 80′s Bad Company toured without any original members at all. Just beyond ridiculous. It’s no wonder so many of these acts end up in court. HalenbergQuote |

 Lance (3169) | just watched the Quiet Riot Doc … and it was pretty cool .. lots of backstage home vids of the band and loved the part when they were auditioning for a new singer… another tour.. and no shows in my area.. maybe the next reunion tour 2020 … lol LanceQuote |

 src (1646) | The real fans are the ones who suffer,i love Skynyrd seen them 10or 15 times,once with Ronnie in va,but since Billy and Leon died i have not and will not see them again with 1 member in the band,some bands i understand ,Journey, steve will not or cannot tour with the band by the way i liked them before steve was in,38 same thing but donnie is still writing with the band,without the main writers the bands seem weak and lazy,Gary and Kevin.Reo at one time was killer,like Dave said i write half of every VH song,i still like ADOT,i may not have liked the sammy in VH years, i did see the 5150 tour and he did keep them alive i can’t take that from him,but that is JMO. srcQuote |

 VOODOO (2374) | I watched this last night. They really gave Quiet Riot a lot of credit I don’t think they actually deserved. They talked like QR created the whole metal scene in LA and their performance at the US Festival “opened the doors” for all the metal bands in LA. I never really liked them that much to begin with. Their stuff with Randy was pretty cheesey and the Metal Health album only had a couple good songs on it. Never liked Dubrow’s voice. I understand this was told from the perspective of close friends and fans of the band, though. We were talking about how it was basically a “tribute” band, but the current band is comprised of former members who weren’t in the band for a long time and who actually did record tracks on Metal Health. I’m not that familiar with their history, so I don’t remember their names. They really laid it on that singer, too. He could sing like Dubrow, but he wasn’t a good performer. Not a strong frontman and apparently had a hard time remembering the words to the songs. VOODOOQuote |
