Saw KISS for the first time last weekend in Irvine, CA. They were hilariously awesome – total showmen. Def Leppard played too and I was thrilled with the quality of vocals from both bands. Anyway if you can capture it, it’s probably worth it. KISS have a cool spider set they ride around on along with the other usual stage antics. Really fun show!

ok LOL can we really call this a full show? 40 year catalog and for what 15 tunes that are played out!!! I’ve been a KI$$ fan since 77 and this iteration is @ best a decent cover band.. saw them in 79 yikes!! then 96 and they killed it! a full show for me as a long time fan of 70′s era music RUSH an evening with..VH.. they put on at minimum 2 plus hours of music not just time on the stage…bass solo!! LMAO!! KI$$ should pack it in unless they bring in the real back beat and lead geeeeetar..! IMHO

lol! Can be considered full show for 80 year old dudes performing. :-)

I liked Kiss at their beginning as they were different and really gave you moneys worth in visuals and content. I actually lost interest when they exposed their ugly faces :-) Im not really a fan today but what I find good about Kiss today is that they still go on and on for their fans and never really stopped in good and bad times. The music lives on forever no matter what line up you have.. Now I just wonder if Gene or Paul were gone how that would turn out????

I saw Kiss in ’75 and again in ’79. Haven’t seen them since, but I’d love to go see them again. They still put on a helluva stage show.

It seems like Ace and Peter were happy to just sell their rights to Gene and Paul and be done with it. Can’t blame Gene and Paul for wanting to carry on with other players.

Doesn’t bother me that they are using Ace and Peter’s make-up.

Everybody knows they are not pretending to be Ace and Peter. Besides, musically, the band is probably much better now. Other than Paul’s voice.

I don’t know about the band being better musically with the new guys. Sure – those guys are technically more proficient than Ace and Peter – but they aren’t called on to perform at a higher level. They are there to strictly follow the script – which is to copy Ace and Peter’s styles as closely as they can.
