Mammoth (no longer Mammoth WVH) are out supporting their excellent third record, “The End”. I caught them over the summer opening up for Creed where we got 2 new songs in a 30 minute set, so it was a bit of a tease. Well, this was the whole damn enchilada. 7 new songs from “The End” and the longest headlining set Mammoth have played to date clocking in with 17 songs at one hour and 37 minutes! As a huge fan of this band, this show had everything you could want. Sure, hearing “Mr. Ed” again would be nice, but you can’t be too nitpicky. I recorded Detroit the night before as well, so feel free to look that one up, too. I made sure to purchase a quick pass with my ticket to get into KEMBA early to guarantee my spot on the rear pit railing facing the right stack. I normally get this spot lining up early with standard GA, but didn’t want to risk it! I had great neighbors, just some loud clapping to my left and right, so I did hard limit that in between songs when I needed to. The guy next to me was running a lot of video from his phone and you can find those videos under his Youtube channel, Brian Ridgeway. Brian, if you see this and want a free copy (email or snail mail – email me!) I did have to boost the bass (believe it or not!) and outside of that and a few edits in RX7 to remove some screams and yells, this was left alone. Turn this up and enjoy! Im going to go ahead and be greedy and hope for more headliners next year in 2026.
