Now my understanding is that there should be more unreleased shows from 79, US shows, all soundboard with a possible 77 show that is also soundboard. The format will be the same vinyl / CD, 2LP sets. I was recently contacted by another such filmer (huge collection of masters – mostly unreleased) who wants me to start authoring his shows. I think part of the reason you’re starting to see this stuff is that the people who have it are getting older and coming to the realization that you can’t take it with you when you die. And that leads to the inevitable question, “What’s going to happen to this stuff after I’m gone?” So they are starting to let it out. Well, I’m glad they’re asking you to help with the releases! You do great work, man. Regarding these vinyl releases coming out, I’m finding I enjoy the older boots a lot more than the later stuff. Some of these trader folks seem awfully volatile and I can imagine some guy flipping out and holding on to his recording because he feels slighted somehow by someone daring to question his dates or whatever.
