Chris UK(2998) | ron: A mailing list devoted to trading VH shows was started as an off-shoot of the VHML back on Jun 9, 1998 (according to YahooGroups). The VHML (Van Halen Mailing List) was started way back in 1992.

SCOOBIE(713) | Chris so sorry to hear about your mom, lost my mom last year, father 6 years before her. always think of good times thank you Ron for the blast from the past. happy to say I’ve been around since “mikes mean streets” 18 years ago! I do still lurk in the shadows of vh trading. so miss the old days when you would get a package in the mail and a brand-new CD, bootleg of course. LOL. so many traders in the early days, so many different eras. I remember I did a trade and bought a 100 pack of cdrs for 99.00 bucks and sent them to a hawkstar (I think) and got 40 shows back in return 2 for 1. fucking A+, was like a kid at Christmas.

mrmojohalen(6389) | Good to see you post again, Chris. I went through a similar situation last year. It’s never easy, but it does get better. Good to see you post again Scoob! I’ve only been here for 11 years. Didn’t have a burner for 5 months & sent many blanks to ggirl Julie for one of my first trades. This guy named Kent was someone else who was willing to help out newbies. His kindness is still remembered years later. I used to think Silver Stallion Productions was some asian dude because of the graphics in his shows.

I’m sorry to say I don’t think it survived our house move a few years ago. Being a bit on the porky side it never fitted me although I did have it on the wall in the music room for a while. Good to hear from you tho Mike another nice blast from the past. Yes Kent (Hawkstar) was incredibly generous he sent me all kinds of stuff, I think he must have had his burner running 24/7 365!
